Recipe Ingredients for low, low, low fat Mac&Cheese

2 c dry macaroni, cooked and drained
2 c skim milk
8 oz low fat cheese
1 T cornstarch
3 T breadcrumbs
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for low, low, low fat Mac&Cheese

  1. Grate the cheese and combine one ounce with the breadcrumbs in a small bowl; set aside.

  2. Whisk together the milk and cornstarch. Pour into an oven safe skillet and heat over medium on stovetop, stirring constantly.

  3. Once the milk starts to bubble and thicken, add the seasonings and reduce the heat to low.

  4. Slowly stir in a little cheese at a time until all seven ounces are incorporated.

  5. Sprinkle the breadcrumb and cheese mixture over the top.

  6. Bake at 350 for ten minutes.
