my healthier take on hummus. made with yogurt instead of tahini or olive oil.

Recipe Ingredients for Low fat hummus

9 1/5 oz (1-16oz can, drained) drained garbanzo beans
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
75 g (1/3 cup) plain non-fat yogurt

Recipe Directions for Low fat hummus

  1. drain garbanzo beans, reserving some of the liquid just in case.

  2. combine all ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth.

  3. if it is too thick add a small amount of the reserved liquid.

  4. serve with vegetables or whole wheat pita chips.
