Low fat Hummus made with yoghurt and lemon juice. 1 tablespoon equals a single serving

Recipe Ingredients for Low fat Hummus

200 grams dried chickpeas
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
4 tbsp lemon juice
6 tbsp water
1 tsp ground red pepper
1 tsp ground cumin
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Low fat Hummus

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight in water.

  2. Drain chickpeas then bring to the boil in fresh water.

  3. Simmer for 40 minutes then drain.

  4. Cool chickpeas then blend all ingredients in a processor.

  5. Refrigerate until serving. Keeps up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
