2/3 cup servings (milk in 'recipe' is for when you eat it...2/3 cup milk per serving)

Recipe Ingredients for Low-fat Honey Almond Granola

1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup honey
2 tbs. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond flavoring
4 cups old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup oat bran
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup slivered almonds
1/8 cup sesame seeds
1 cup raisins
6 2/3 cups milk, nonfat

Recipe Directions for Low-fat Honey Almond Granola

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir oil, honey, syrup and extracts until the honey melts--approximately three minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, toss oats, bran, cinnamon, almonds and sesame seeds.

  3. Pour honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir to coat.

  4. Spread combined ingredients onto a baking pan in an even, sparse layer.

  5. Bake in a pre-heated, 300-degree oven for 50 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until golden brown and toasted.

  6. Place the pan on a wire rack to cool.

  7. Place the mixture in a large bowl and add raisins or dried fruit to taste in one-cup amounts.
