low fat and low gi granola bars. can be made with 1/3 cup sweetner instead of sugar to decrease calories.

Recipe Ingredients for low fat granola bars

1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
2 t baking powder
1/4 cup wheat bran
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t ginger
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 cups oats
1 cup dried apricot or other fruit
1/2 c sunflower seeds
3/4 cup applesauce
1/2 cup apple juice
3 eggs
2 t oil
1/3 c sugar

Recipe Directions for low fat granola bars

  1. mix dry ingrediants.

  2. mix wet ingrediants

  3. add wet to dry and mix well

  4. pour in 8 x 12 baking pan lined with parchment

  5. bake 15-20 min at 400 til brown. Let cool and cut into bars.
