Dense bread ideal for serving with chilli or breakfast buffet

Recipe Ingredients for Low Fat Corn Bread

1 c all purpose flour
1 c corn meal
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c skim milk
1 large egg
1/4 c Fat Free Yogurt
1/4 c brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Low Fat Corn Bread

  1. In a small bowl combine egg, milk and yogurt. Beat well

  2. In a large bowl combine all dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and beat well.

  3. Pour into lightly greased 8" pan

  4. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or till tester comes out clean

  5. Serve warm with small pat of butter or syrup
