Blackberry Cobbler with butter portions exchanged with applesauce and sweetened with Splenda sweetener

Recipe Ingredients for Low fat Blackberry Cobbler with Splenda

1 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 3/4 cups fresh blackberries
1 1/2 cups Splenda no calorie sweetener
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water, (to make cornstarch paste)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup applesauce
2 tbsp applesauce

Recipe Directions for Low fat Blackberry Cobbler with Splenda

Mix blackberries and Splenda and simmer 10 minutes; add cornstarch paste and set aside to cool. Melt butter in 8x8 pan in preheating oven; mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately then mix together ujust until flour moistened; spread mixture evenly into pan and gently stir in melted butter. Dollop blackberry mixture over batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
