This bread is low on fat and sugar, but the chocolate chips help add some sweetness to the bread. Definitely good for when you are craving something sweet but don't want to blow all your hard work.

Recipe Ingredients for Low Fat, Big Flavor Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
3 mashed bananas
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup chocolate chips, semi sweet

mix dry ingredients in large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix mashed bananas, beaten eggs, sugar, and applesauce. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold until combined. It will be lumpy. Add chips and spoon into prepared loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.
