Recipe Ingredients for low-fat banana nut muffins

1 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 tsp Baking Soda
0.13 tsp Salt, Table
1 cup, mashed Bananas
0.38 cup Apple Sauce Unsweetened Organics
0.13 cup Cottonseed, Salad Or Cooking Oil
0.5 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
0.5 tsp Nutmeg
0.5 tsp, ground Cardamom
1 large Egg, Whole
0.5 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1/4 cup Chopped Walnuts

Recipe Directions for low-fat banana nut muffins

  1. mix dry ingredients together in lg bowl and set aside.

  2. mix together sugar and oil and 1/8 c applesauce with electric mixer until creamed. add egg, rest of applesauce, some vanilla if desired and beat again. then add dry ingredients in thirds, mixing with each addition. finally, fold in walnuts.

  3. bake in muffin tin for 20-25 min at 350 degrees.
