Great low-fat banana bread. Optional: top with sunflower seeds, nuts or flaxseeds before baking.

Recipe Ingredients for Low-Fat Banana Bread

1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup apple sauce
2/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas

Recipe Directions for Low-Fat Banana Bread

  1. Combine dry ingredients, set aside.

  2. Combine wet ingredients and then add to dry.

  3. Pour well-mixed batter into a loaf pan.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.

  5. Makes 1 loaf, 8 mini-loaves or 16 muffins.
