A healthier version of alfredo pasta sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Low Fat Alfredo Sauce

1 cup skim milk
1 tablespoon margarine
1 tablespoon flour
2 cups baby spinach
1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Low Fat Alfredo Sauce

Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and let it bubble for a few minutes. While rue is cooking, heat milk in microwave until it is almost boiling (about 1 minute). Add milk to rue and stir frequently until it begins to boil. Boil for 5 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Add cheese, spinach and bacon. Sauce is done when spinach is wilted. Serve over whole wheat pasta such as linguine or fettucini.
