A Low-Cholesterol, whole wheat variety of the oatmeal waffle recipe. I chop old-fashioned oatmeal into a finer texture to make a smoother waffle.

Recipe Ingredients for Low Cholesterol Oatmeal Waffles

2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 cup oats
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup egg whites
1 1/2 cups skim milk
6 tablespoons apple butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar

  1. Although there may be a perceived order, I throw everything into a large pyrex measuring cup with a spout and stir.
