Variation of the BAKER'S recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Low-Calorie Brownies

2 ounces Unsweetened Chocolate
3 T (43 grams) unsalted butter
3 T (43 grams) fat-free yogurt, vanilla
1 cup (201 grams) granulated sugar
2 egg whites (75 grams)
1/2 tsp (2.5 milliliter) vanilla
1/2 cup (64 grams) whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for Low-Calorie Brownies

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350F.

  2. Line 8x8 baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan.

  3. Spray foil lightly with cooking oil.

  4. MICROWAVE chocolate, yogurt, and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-2 minutes or until butter is melted. (Be careful not to burn the chocolate)

  5. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

  6. Stir in sugar.

  7. Blend in egg whites and vanilla.

  8. Add flour; mix well.

  9. Spread into prepared pan.

  10. BAKE 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.)

  11. Cool in pan on wire rack.

  12. Remove brownies from pan, using foil handles.

  13. Cut into 2x2 squares.

  14. Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature.
