Recipe Ingredients for Low-Cal Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. canola oil
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Low-Cal Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350. Coat 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.

  2. Grind oats in food processor. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add oil, granulated, brown sugar, egg and vanilla; beat until smooth and creamy.

  4. With the mixer running, add the dry ingredients, beating on low speed until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

  5. Drop the dough in heaping spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Cooke 15 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on pan. Transfer to wire rack.
