Cornbread made with apple sauce instead of oil

Recipe Ingredients for Low Cal/Low Fat Cornbread

1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup white flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt (or less)
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2 egg whites
3/4 cup skim milk
1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce

Recipe Directions for Low Cal/Low Fat Cornbread

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 425; grease pan and set in oven to preheat.

  2. 2 Mix together dry ingredients. Beat together egg, milk, applesauce, and add to dry ingredients.

  3. 3 Pour into hot pan and bake for 20 minutes
