Stuffed cabbage made with ground turkey & brown rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Lorri's Turkey Halupkis

2 lb ground turkey
2 cups brown rice
1 onion, chopped
2 large eggs
3 lbs cabbage
46 oz tomato juice
1 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp parsley

Recipe Directions for Lorri's Turkey Halupkis

  1. Core and par-boil cabbage removing whole leaves as they become semi-cooked.

  2. Cook rice

  3. Spray pan with Pam & saute chopped onion until translucent

  4. In large bowl combine turkey, rice, onion, eggs, garlic, parsley and 1/2 cup of tomato juice.

  5. Stuff and roll meat in cabbage leaves

  6. In large pot, place stuffed cabbage and cover with remaining tomato juice.

  7. Simmer approx 2 hours until meat is cooked.
