Instead of weighing out 1/12 pound of each of the 12 beans, I recommend getting 1 pound mixed dry beans. http://www.balancedweightmanagement.com/resources_2.htm

0.08 lb adzuki beans

1 cup celery, sliced
28 ounce chopped tomatoes
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 chicken bouillon cubes
8 cups water
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
3/4 teaspoon cumin

Recipe Directions for Lonnie's 12-Bean Soup

  1. Rinse dried beans, cover with water, soak overnight, drain

  2. This soup is easy to prepare. It takes 15 minutes to assemble, but takes 3 hours to simmer. A crock pot is helpful. Mix soaked beans with remaining ingredients in a large pot. Simmer 3 hours or until tender. While it simmers, relax and enjoy the aroma.
