Recipe Ingredients for Logan Bread

1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 cup Rye Flour
1 cup Oats, Regular And Quick And Instant, Unenriched, Dry
16 tbsp Raw Wheat Germ
1/2 cup Milk Powder (Non-Fat Dry)
12 tsp Sugar Light Brown
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 cup Vegetable Oil, Canola
1/2 cup Honey, Strained Or Extracted
1/2 cup Molasses, Blackstrap
1/2 cup Dried Cherries
1/2 cup, in shell, edible yield (7 nuts) Walnuts, English
1/2 cup Dried Cranberries
4 large Egg, Whole

Recipe Directions for Logan Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.

  2. Mix all of the grains, powdered milk, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.

  3. Next, mix all of the other ingredients in a separate bowl and set aside.

  4. Grease two 9" x 9" pans using Crisco. Then sprinkle extra flour onto pan bottoms and sides. This will show you if you've missed

  5. greasing any spots and will help with removing the bread from the pans when finished baking.

  6. Mix the ingredients of the two bowls and mix very thoroughly.

  7. Spoon the mixture into the two greased pans evenly.

  8. Bake for 90 minutes at 275 degrees or until a tester comes out clean.
