Makes 16 servings

Pizza made with wheat flour, turkey pepperoni, lean ham and veggies. Delicious but healthy.

Recipe Ingredients for Loaded Pizza

1 3/4 cups wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water, warm (120-130 degrees)
2 tablespoons canola oil
16 ounces tomato sauce
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons garlic, chopped
4 cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 cup low fat ham, diced
4 servings turkey pepperoni
1/2 pound ground beef, browned and drained

Recipe Directions for Loaded Pizza

  1. Make Dough: Mix 1 1/4 cups flour, yeast and salt in large bowl. Add warm water and oil. Beat with mixer on low 30 seconds, scrapping bowl constantly. Beat on high 3 minutes. Stir in remaining flour. Turn out on floured board and knead 6-8 minutes. Divide in half and let rest 10 minutes. Roll out and spread in two, greased (use nonfat cooking spray) 16-inch pizza pans.

  2. Mix tomato sauce, oregano and garlic. Heat over medium heat just to bubbling stage. Remove from heat. This blends the flavors. Spread sauce over crusts.

  3. Use 2 cups of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup parmesan per pizza. Top with meat and veggies.

  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes until bottom of crust is lightly browned.

  5. Cut each pizza into 16 slices. One slice is a serving.
