spicy pumpkin bread, 2 loves or one large bundt plus some muffins. Best with LJ's cream cheese frosting.

Recipe Ingredients for LJ's Pumpkin Bread

3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup 2% milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
4 eggs
1 cup walnuts
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

Recipe Directions for LJ's Pumpkin Bread

  1. Cream butter (shortening can be used)

  2. Add sugar and cream

  3. add eggs one at a time

  4. in separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients

  5. mix dry into wet alternately with milk

  6. fill greased baking container/s and bake at 350F for 50 minutes
