Recipe Ingredients for Lissa's homemade beans

16.1 oz Dried Pinto Beans
0.333 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
0.5 cup Molasses
1 tsp Salt, Table
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
90 grams Pork, Cured, Bacon
1 serving Distilled White Vinegar
100 grams Onions

Recipe Directions for Lissa's homemade beans

Soak beans overnight. Drain. Add 6 cups water, simmer for 25-30 minutes, till cooked (skin rolls off when you blow on them). Drain liquid but keep it to add as liquid. Mix all other ingredients except onions. Add enough bean liquid so that when added to cooked beans in slow cooker, the liquid covers the beans (about 2-3 cups). Sprinkle chopped onions on top. Bake on high in slow cooker for 6 hours.
