Recipe Ingredients for Lisa's Turkey and Tofu Chili

1 lb ground turkey breast
1 lb firm tofu, cubbed
2 cups water
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 white onion, chopped
15 oz canned kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3 garlic cloves
1 tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 pepper

Recipe Directions for Lisa's Turkey and Tofu Chili

  1. Heat a large sauce pan over meduim flame, coated with nonfat cooking spray.

  2. Add garlic and cook until brown.

  3. Add turkey and cook until lightly browned, add tofu, continue to brown.

  4. Once turkey and tofu are browned, add in water, broth, chopped vegetables, beans and spices.

  5. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 45 minutes.
