Lisa's Original NY Style Pizza Dough

Recipe Ingredients for Lisa's Pizza Dough

4 cups All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp. Olive Oil
1 1/2 cups Water
2 1/4 tsp. Active Dry Yeast
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt

Recipe Directions for Lisa's Pizza Dough

  1. Heat the water to 100 - 115 degrees in the microwave.

  2. Add the yeast and sugar and let proof for 5 minutes.

  3. In a mixing bowl add the flour, olive oil, salt and proofed yeast mixture.

  4. Mix with paddle attachedment until all of the flour is thoroughly incorporated.

  5. Switch to a dough hook attachment and continue to kneed the dough for 8 minutes.

  6. Take the dough ball out of the bowl, coat lightly with olive oil and put the ball back into the mixing bowl.

  7. Cover the bowl bowl with plastic wrap that has been lightly oiled on the side facing the dough.

  8. Let the dough rise in a warm, draft free place until it has doubled in size.
