Recipe Ingredients for Link's Whole Wheat Bulgur Flax Bread

2 cups water (warm)
1/2 cup syrup
2 tblsp Yeast
1 cup milk ,1% low fat
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup bulgur wheat (ground)
1/4 cup Flax seed (ground)
1/4 cup sesame seed (optional)
1 tblsp olive oil
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 cups all purpose flour

Recipe Directions for Link's Whole Wheat Bulgur Flax Bread

  1. Mix together first two ingredientsand place yeast in set aside and let stand for 10 minutes.

  2. Slowly mix the next 7 ingredients together in a bowl.

  3. Add the yeast to the mixture and mix. Add 1 cup of whole wheat flourand mix then slowly add 3 cups of all pourpose flour and kneed until a nice textured ball is formed.(May not use all 3 cups or may require more depending on texture.)

  4. Grease a bowl and place in a warm draft free area and let rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

  5. Punch down again AND SHAPE INTO 2 SEPERATE LOAVES.Place in bread pans and let rise again for 1-2 more hours.

  6. Preheat oven to 375 degreesand bake for 45- 60 minutes or until bottom is golden brown or when tapped on the bottom of the bread pan it makes a hollow sound

  7. MAKES 2 LOAFS
