Recipe Ingredients for Lima Beans and Mirepoix

16 oz Beans Large Lima
1 cup, diced Celery
1 cup slices Carrots
1 cup Onions
2 tsp Garlic Salt
0.5 tsp Spices Ground Black Pepper

Recipe Directions for Lima Beans and Mirepoix

Soak 1 pound dry lima beans overnight; saute 1 cup each onion, celery, carrots, and minced garlic if desired; combine sauted veggies and lima beans with water (or stock if desired) in stock pot; add spices, bullion as desired. Add ham and bone if desired; bring to boil; simmer minimum 2 hours. Serve with hot bread or biscuits.
