Recipe Ingredients for Lima Bean Spread

10 ounces frozen lima beans
4 cloves garlic, mashed
1/4 teaspoon crushed red peppers
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon mint, chopped
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon dill, chopped

Recipe Directions for Lima Bean Spread

  1. Cook lima beans in salty water

  2. Add garlic and red peppers cook until tender

  3. Cool and drain

  4. Transfer to a food processor or food mill and process until smooth
