A healthified version of comforting banana bread

Recipe Ingredients for Lightened Banana Bread

1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup whole grain flour
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cup bananas
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Lightened Banana Bread

  1. Mix to gether in a bowl in a bowl,soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

  2. In larger bowl mix together bananas, egg whites, sugar, oil and vanilla.

  3. Stir in flour mixture until moistened.

  4. Pour into sprayed 8x4x2 inch loaf pan.

  5. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 mins until toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Cool bread in pan for 10 minutes, remove from pan and enjoy.

  7. You can also throw in 1/2 c or so of chocolate chips and/or sunflower seeds, for an extra treat.

  8. Freezes well!
