This light wine sauce would be great with fish or chicken.

Recipe Ingredients for Light Wine Sauce

8 oz Wine
4 tbsp chopped Shallots
0.13 tsp Peppercorns
0.6 grams Bay Leaf
1.5 cup Soup, chicken broth, canned, less/reduced sodium
0.13 cup Cornstarch
0.25 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat

Recipe Directions for Light Wine Sauce

  1. combine wine, shallots, peppercorns and bay leaf in a sauce and simmer until wine is reduced to 1/2 cup.

  2. Add chicken broth and simmer a couple more minutes.

  3. Combine cornstarch with 1 tbs water and add to broth. Cook until thickened.

  4. Strain and return to pan. Add milk and heat.

  5. I then used this with chicken stir fry.
