Lightened up this recipe with Egg Beaters and Splenda. This really reduced the calories, but did not change the taste.

Recipe Ingredients for Light Quick Waffles (1 square)

1/2 cup Egg Beaters
3/4 cup milk
2 tbls vegetable oil
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp Splenda
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Light Quick Waffles (1 square)

Lightly brush waffle grids with vegetable oil. Close unit and preheat to "waffle" setting. In medium bowl, beat egg beaters, milk and oil. Add dry ingredients; mix until smooth. Pour 1 cup batter evenly onto preheated grid. Close unit and bake until light goes off (about 5 minutes).
