Recipe Ingredients for Light Hollandaise Sauce

1/3 cup skim milk
1/4 cup land o lakes light butter
1/2 cup egg beaters
3 T lemon juice
1 t sea salt
1 t pepper
1 T flour
1/2 large egg yolk
1 t butter buds

Recipe Directions for Light Hollandaise Sauce

  1. pour egg beaters, egg yolk (or use egg beaters with yolk), and butter into microwave safe bowl. Stir.

  2. Heat on medium heat, in 45 second intervals, stirring with wire whisk between each interval, until egg begins to cook around edges.

  3. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Stir.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine milk and flour, stir until there are no clumps. Add to egg mixture and continue microwaving in 30 second intervals until it achieves desired consistency, stirring each time.

  5. Add butter buds, stir, and serve.
