Recipe Ingredients for Light Chocolate French Toast

1 cup skim milk
7 1/3 tbs Egg white
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 pinch salt
8 slices whole wheat bread

Recipe Directions for Light Chocolate French Toast

  1. Preheat a heavy skillet over medium heat.

  2. Pour the milk into a large bowl and whisk in the egg whites, brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa and salt. Whisk until smooth and cocoa is well incorporated.

  3. Spray Pam on the pan.

  4. Dip one slice of bread at a time into the milk mixture soaking up some of the mixture. Coat both sides well.

  5. When butter is foaming, add the bread and fry on both sides until rich golden brown.

  6. Repeat with the rest of the bread slices.
