5 Granny Smith apples
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
3 tablespoons Old Fashioned Oats
16 g Xylitol
2 serving Agave Nectar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup Old Fashioned Oats
20 g Xylitol
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons BENECOL Light Spread
1/4 cup pecans

Recipe Directions for Light Apple Crisp

  1. Directions

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  3. For the Filling:

  4. Mix all the ingredients together. Place into 7 to 8-ounce ramekins.

  7. 5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, chopped small

  8. 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans

  9. 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  10. 1/4 cup xylitol

  11. 2 tablespoons Agave

  12. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  13. Topping:

  14. 3/4 cup oat flour

  15. 1/3 cup xylitol

  16. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  17. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  18. 6 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into pieces

  19. 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans

  20. Mix the flour, xylitol, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. Blend the butter into the mixture until it forms pea size lumps. Stir in pecans and sprinkle over filling.

  21. Bake crisps for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
