The polar opposite of Death by Chocolate. Includes peanut butter and vanilla but no chocolate :)

Recipe Ingredients for Life by Vanilla

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. peanut butter, 1/2 tsp. PB extract
1 c. milk, vanilla
3 eggs
16 oz. cool whip, 32 oz. cool whip lite
4 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
4 1/2 c. milk, 2 tsp. vanilla
16 oz. cool whip, 32 oz. cool whip lite
8 oz. toffee, bars, frozen
3/4 c. peanut butter

Recipe Directions for Life by Vanilla

  1. Make cake mix (1/3 recipe) w/ first ingred. thru butter, mix in milk, vanilla, eggs (wet ingred.) Beat 3 min, til smooth.

  2. Pour half into greased 9x13. Beat 1/4 c. peanut butter into remaining batter with PB extract, pour into other half. Bake @ 350*F for 25-35 min, toothpick test. Cool well.

  3. Meanwhile, make vanilla pudding (combine dry ingred, add milk, stir over med. heat, then add vanilla after thickened). Cover directly w/ Saran wrap & chill.

  4. Then thaw cool whip, layer 1/3 of it on bottom of HUGE tupperware. Crush frozen toffee, and microwave remaining 3/4 c. peanut butter for 30 sec.

  5. Sprinkle vanilla cake layer over Cool whip, cover Cool whip, then toffee, then PB cake layer. Next layer more Cool whip, rest of toffee, 3/4 cup of melted PB, and remaining toffee. Chill 6-24 hours before serving.
