Recipe Ingredients for Lesley's Gingersnaps

2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tbsp ginger
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

Recipe Directions for Lesley's Gingersnaps

  1. Cream butter and sugar in electric mixer

  2. Beat in egg and molasses

  3. Sift in spices

  4. Sift in flour and baking soda

  5. Form teaspoonful balls by rolling in between palms of hands

  6. Roll is granulated sugar

  7. Place on baking sheet 2" apart

  8. Bake 12-15 minutes

  9. Cool on wire racks

  10. Serve with a glass of cold milk!
