Recipe Ingredients for Les Trois Pommes

4 medium potatoes, scrubbed
2 c. sweet potatoes (2 med), scrubbed
2 T. butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 large sweet apple, peeled, cored & thinly sliced
3/4 c. fat-free sour cream
2 c. grated cheese (mild white)
1 c. half and half

Recipe Directions for Les Trois Pommes

  1. Cook or bake the white & sweet potatoes in their skins until tender but firm. Once they are done, preheat the oven to 350degrees.

  2. Heat the butter in a skillet until it is foamy. Add the onion and saute over moderately low heat until it is lightly browned.

  3. When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, peel and slice them and put them in a large mixing bowl. "Add the sauteed onion and the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into an oiled, large shallow baking dish and bake for 35 min.
