Recipe Ingredients for Lentils and Rice

1 1/3 cup green lentils
3/4 cup White Basmati Rice
2 large white onion
1 salt and pepper
2 tsp olive oil
1 cup sour cream

Recipe Directions for Lentils and Rice

  1. Put lentils in a saucepan, cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed.

  2. Add rice to the same pot, cover all with water, Season with salt and pepper, and any other herbs you desire, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed.

  3. While this is simmering, chop onions and saute in olive oil in a separate pan.

  4. To serve, place lentils and rice on plate, top with onions, and 3 tsp (about) of sour cream.
