Made right in the rice cooker! Make sure you soak your green lentils or they will be crunchy in the end product.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentils and Rice

3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cup brown rice
3/4 cup lentils
5 carrots
2 white onions
1 tsp salt
2 tsp rosemary

Recipe Directions for Lentils and Rice

  1. Make vegetable stock with 6 small white boiling onions halved and carrots in smallish chunks (freedom to add your favorite veggies), salt and 1 tsp rosemary (basil is good too) boil till crisp tender.

  2. Saute garlic in oil in rice cooker, add rice, lentils (soaked for 4 hrs or overnight) 4 cups of your veggie stock and a bit more spice and cover. When it pops, stir in the onions and carrots and voila!
