Recipe Ingredients for Lentils

1 cup lentils
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup carrots, shredded
1 clove garlic
1/2 tablespoon butter, unsalted

Recipe Directions for Lentils

Cook lentils in 4 cups water or vegetable broth. Saute onions and carrots in butter, then add garlic. When lentils are done, drain and mix in sauteed vegetables. Season to taste.
