Easy to make, good on a salad or in a bun

Recipe Ingredients for lentil veggie burger

2 cups lentils, cooked
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
2 eggs
1 tsp oregano
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp mustard
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups onion, diced
1 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup skim milk
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for lentil veggie burger

  1. Cook lentils in water till soft, will equal about 4 cups

  2. Mash cooked lentils and add remaining ingredients

  3. Form into balls then pat into patties

  4. Heat pan add oil or cooking spray

  5. Cook a few pattys at a time turning after 3-5 minutes so outside is crispy and inside is hot

  6. Serve on top of a salad or in a bun like a burger
