Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Stew with Sage

1 medium rutabaga (aka turnip), peeled and cut into bite-size pieces
1 large onion, chopped
2/3 cup green lentils
1 1/2 cups organic vegetable stock
1 tsp ground sage
1 dash salt (to taste)
1 dash pepper (to taste)

Recipe Directions for Lentil Stew with Sage

Sauté onion in shot of cooking spray in a small pot over medium heat until soft. Add lentils, vegetable stock, and sage. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add the turnip and continue to simmer until the squash and lentils are cooked (approx. 20 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
