A warm and tasty thick rich stew. Just try it!

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Stew

1 tsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
1 small carrot
125 g red lentils
2 1/2 tsp bouillon
180 ml water
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
12 cherry tomatoes
1 1/2 tbsp tomato puree
1 black pepper

Recipe Directions for Lentil Stew

  1. Heat oil in pan

  2. Add garlic - cook 30 seconds

  3. Add onion - cook 2 minutes

  4. Add pepper, carrot - cook 5 minutes

  5. Add lentils, stock, water, herbs - BOIL - no cover - cook 10 minutes

  6. tomatoes, tomato puree - REDUCE HEAT - cover - cook 15/20 minutes

  7. Add black pepper

  8. Serve. (Can also be liquidised to make a lovely soup)
