Hearty stew with lentils and carrots

Recipe Ingredients for lentil stew

16 oz. Lentils
15 oz. Tomato sauce no salt added
4 cups vegetable broth
3 cups water
3 cups sliced carrots
1 1/2 cups chopped onion
3 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp,+crumbled bay leaves
3 tbs ketchup

Recipe Directions for lentil stew

Boil onion and garlic in a little water until transluscent. Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
