Hearty. I don't add salt. Add split peas as separate entry 'cuz none in the db were near the package label. -1/4 c split peas, dry

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil and Split Pea Soup

30 g dry lentils
28 g tomatoes
1/4 c minced onion
1/2 stalk celery, large
2 cloves garlic
20 g carrots baby
1 tsp oregano
2 c water

Recipe Directions for Lentil and Split Pea Soup

  1. Start the lentils and green peas simmering in the water. (Start with more water ... maybe 2.5 cups. After it comes to a boil, reduce heat, tilt lid & simmer.)

  2. Start dicing up whatever else you're going to add and toss 'em in the pot. I start with the things that will take longer to cook, like carrots & celery.

  3. Spice up with whatever herbs & spices you like.

  4. Cook about 25 minutes total.
