Homemade Lentil Soup. This is a German recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

2 cups diced ham hock, cooked
2 cups dried lentils
2 cups sliced carrots
2 cups diced celery
4 diced medium red potatoes
8 cups of water
1 onion

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

  1. Put all ingredients in a big pot.

  2. Bring to boil

  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are done, 30-45 minutes.

  4. Season to taste.
