Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

1 1/3 cup lentils
4 cups water
4 cups chicken broth
2 carrots, chopped
1/2 head of cabbage, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp oregano
16 oz tomato, crushed

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

  1. Rinse lentils. Add to medium pot with water and broth. Bring to boil. Reduce to simmer and cover for 1 hour.

  2. Add chopped vegetables, garlic, oregano and tomato. Cook for 30 min.
