Homemade lentil soup. Things to try: Add canned diced tomato or celery. Blend half of the soup an mix together. Use homemade or low sodium broth.

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

1 cup Lentils, Mature Seeds
4 cup Vegetable Broth
2 medium Carrots
1 potato medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potato, Baked, Flesh And Skin
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 small Onions
3 cloves Garlic

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

  1. Saute onions and garlic in oil over medium high heat.

  2. Add carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper, 1/4 cup hot water, and any additional seasoning (I used dried Italian and parsley)

  3. Warm stock and add it to the pot.

  4. Add lentils, and boil until tender.
