Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

2 cup Lentils, Mature Seeds
6 serving Instant VegeBase
6 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 large Onions
2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery
2 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
2 clove Garlic
3.5 serving Diced Tomatoes with Basil Garlic and Oregano
4 tbsp Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
2 tbsp Parsley
0.5 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
0.5 tsp, leaves Tarragon, Dried
2 serving Tamari

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

Into the water put lentils and VegeBase. Cook for about 45 min until lentils are soft. Meanwhile, saute the onion, carrots, celery and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. Add to lentils and stock. Add tomatoes, lemon juice, parsley, seansonings and tamari. Simmer about 20 minutes until soup is well blended. Add cheese and bacon crumbles as desired.
