Grandma's lentil soup - lightened up

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

1 pound lean ground turkey
32 ounces hunt's crushed tomatoes
32 ounces swanson chicken broth
2 medium carrots
2 stalks celery
1 medium onion
1 cup lentils
1 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

  1. Brown ground turkey in oil.

  2. Add carrots, celery and onions.

  3. Add crushed tomatoes and broth.

  4. Bring to boil.

  5. Simmer 15 minutes.

  6. Add lentils

  7. Simmer 30 minutes.
