Recipe Ingredients for Lentil Soup

1 medium onion
4 garlic cloves
2 cups dried lentils
8 cups water
1 stalk celery
2 fresh tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Lentil Soup

  1. Boil water

  2. Add lentils, 2 cloves of garlic and onionto boiling water, simmer covered for 1 hour

  3. Remove cover, add rest of garlic, celery, tomatoes and spices of choice ( cumin, pepper, or curry). Simmer another 15 to 30mins, let cool and put in blender to smooth.
