Lentil soup. Often relies on a bacon base flavour, use ham stock cubes if available as a substitute

Recipe Ingredients for Lentil soup

250 g red lentils
800 g carrot
800 g onion
70 g stock cubes
25 g garlic
25 g ginger
2 g bay leaf

Recipe Directions for Lentil soup

  1. OPTIONAL Soak lentils in cold water for an hour

  2. Roughly chop garlic, ginger, onion and carrots

  3. Add all ingredients to large pressure cooket + sufficient water to cover

  4. Cook at pressure for 15 mins (soaked lentils) 30m (not soaked)

  5. Liquidise
